Grid-Tied Solar Systems
A grid-tied solar system is the first and most economical step to reduce monthly electricity bills and offer the best Return on Investment. This is ideal for a property where most of the electricity usage is consumed during the day.
Hybrid Solar Systems
Hybrid solar systems generate power in the same way as the common grid-tie solar system but use special hybrid inverters and batteries to store energy for later use e.g. as a backup power supply during load shedding, similar to a UPS system.
Off Grid Solar Systems
An off-grid system is not connected to the electricity grid and must be designed appropriately so that they will generate enough power to cater for days of poor weather conditions and in the depths of winter when there is generally much less sunlight. The high cost of batteries and off-grid inverters means off-grid systems are much more expensive but can be designed to run in conjunction with generators, and even to use generators to recharge the batteries. It is ideal for new or remote installations.
